My name is Dawn
the fool Nilo.

I am

... patiently working to develop a new art,
studying the tradition of education
through philosophy, performance art
and the call of the Fool and the Troubadour.

As an artist and an educator, I seek to consciously act on the living experience that is authentic vision and insight. What is authentic? It is daring to not know beyond all that one knows. Vision is what arises within the not knowing, and insight is that which understands it. To creatively act on this living experience I must be in my senses, seeing, hearing, touching, tasting and smelling the world. Then, I must come to know this being in thought so that I can forget it. It is an act of freedom in which I strive for the objectivity of the honest scientist, the one that does not know. And then, seeking the subjectively human between matter and spirit, I can love. Thus I strive to unite art, science and spirit as I Play with music, poetry, philosophy, sociopolitical commentary and other aesthetic pathways to the human.  This is what becomes...

The Art of the Fool strives to awaken a conscious life of freedom in love, and love in freedom, through play.

With this as my grail, I give  performances  and offer a school of artistic workshops. I consider philosophy through   the art of the fool  , share   vita   through my story and stuff the poetic and important things in to the   junk drawer  . All this I share with you. Perhaps one day you will   contact   me and we can meet.
